Delete your Taksa account
Last updated: September 25, 2026
A Taksa account is optional — it only syncs your bookmarks, notes and other personal data between your devices. You can delete it, and everything synced to it, at any time.
In the app (immediate)
- Open Taksa and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and its synced data are deleted right away.
Without the app
Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my Taksa account, from the email address your account uses. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, include the address shown under Settings → Account in the app, or the date you created the account. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, name (if Apple or Google shared one), and your sign-in identity
- Everything synced to it: bookmarks, highlights, notes, favorites, last-read chapters, prayer check-marks and reading preferences
- If you used Sign in with Apple, Taksa's authorization with your Apple ID is revoked
What is kept
- Nothing tied to you. Deleted data can remain in our database provider's encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups are overwritten; it is not restored or used.
- Copies already on a device stay on that device until you sign out there or uninstall the app. Deleting from within the app removes them from the device you delete on.
- Anonymous usage analytics are never linked to your account and are unaffected (see the Privacy Policy).
You can keep using Taksa without an account after deleting it — all prayers, hymns, readings and audio remain free and available.
